Zhaowen (Maggie) Lin is currently the partner of King Parallel Consulting, leads King Parallel’s corporate governance consultations. Her areas of expertise include corporate governance, BoD, and director’s training, etc. Ms. Lin is also a corporate governance consultant of the International Finance Corporation (“IFC”), a member of the World Bank Group, and the senior research fellow of the China Enterprise Reform and Development Society, as well as the director trainer certified by the Global Corporate Governance Forum.
Ms. Lin had served as a Corporate Governance Officer during 2008 to 2015 with the IFC, was mainly responsible for assessing corporate governance risks and formulating mitigating strategies for the IFC investment clients in East Asia and Pacific. With insightful perspectives in the regional corporate governance practices, Ms. Lin has extensive experience in advising corporations to develop and implement corporate governance strategies, improve board practices, and assess corporate governance risks. Ms. Lin is a frequent speaker on conferences related to corporate governance and an active director trainer.
Prior to joining the World Bank Group, Ms. Lin used to work in Hong Kong for Allen & Overy, and then as a senior associate with Herbert Smith, an international legal practice.
Ms. Lin holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Engineering from Tsinghua University, China, and a Master of Law from University of Bristol, United Kingdom.
